Goodbye...it really is one of the hardest things to say - especially when you're losing a legend.

Welsh commentating maestro Ron Jones has decided to blow the final whistle on an illustrious career this Sunday.

Liverpool vs Brighton will be our last chance to hear that amazing voice so this morning Iano gave Ron a call to pass on his best wishes and chat about his the job he loved so much.

He'll be missed by all, none more so than the Today FM Sports department and his partner in crime Brian Kerr. 

Godspeed Ron. Your voice will still echo across the pitches and airwaves countrywide.
