It has been alleged that a teenage girl was sexually assaulted at an Irish College in Galway,  however parents of students in the college were only informed a week later.

The school sent out an email explaining to parents that counseling had been provided to students who had wanted to avail of it.

Gardai have said that that investigations are ongoing but no arrests have yet been made in relation to the incident.
