Amazon is considering using vacant department stores in shopping centres as warehouses, according to The Wall Street Journal.
The company is reportedly in talks with the likes of Sears and J.C. Penney in the United States to convert their empty anchor spaces into distribution centres.
Retailers such as these have been closing as a result of the pandemic, following years of declining footfall.
