While many of the department stores on the high street are struggling to stay afloat, online retailer Amazon is looking to open physical stores in large retail spaces in parts of the US.

While the e-commerce giant has already opened smaller grocery and gadget stores, the Wall Street Journal is reporting the company has earmarked locations in Ohio and California for their version of department stores.
