Concerns have been raised about the safety of young people who use Yubo, a social media app which is being described as "Tinder for teens".

Are teenagers sacrificing their online safety for popularity?

Harry McCann, editor in chief of trendster.ie, says: "There doesn't seem to be any kind of age barrier or restriction. It's just a free for all."

He is particularly concerned about the live streaming aspect of the app, which he says "will become a breeding ground for online predators."

Psychotherapist Stella O'Malley adds that teenagers are "making friends with people who are strangers and who could be predators."

"While you can say let's not have a moral panic, you do have to discuss it and say this is out there."
