As the Conservative Party Conference gets underway in Birmingham, there have already been some extraordinary suggestions about Brexit by senior Tories.
As well as claiming that the border issue is "exaggerated", former Brexit secretary David Davis said that it is possible to pay for drinks in Dublin with pounds, and with euros in Belfast.
Foreign secretary Jeremy Hunt, meanwhile, compared the EU to the Soviet Union.
But it was Hunt's predecessor Boris Johnson who made the most bizarre remark, when he proposed building a bridge between Britain and Ireland.
Fianna Fáil's Brexit spokesperson Lisa Chambers says all of this "would be comical if it weren't so serious for us."
Have the Tories demonstrated a complete lack of understanding when it comes to handling Brexit?
Lisa Chambers was joined by Nick Ferrari of LBC radio in London to discuss the issue.
