Asylum seeker Ellie Kisyombe has been a prominent figure in the media since announcing her intention to run as a Social Democrats candidate in the forthcoming local elections in Dublin.

A front page story in The Sunday Times has now reported that there were discrepancies found in accounts she gave about her background in interviews.
