As restrictions begin to ease, new research indicates that people are reluctant to spend some of the savings they've been making in recent times.

It leaves a question mark over how businesses will recover over the coming months.

79% of people surveyed on behalf of PTSB say they want to continue saving and plan on only spending a quarter of what they have saved.
