The European Commission announced plans earlier this week to set up a travel certificate that will allow EU citizens to travel to other member states without having to quarantine on arrival.
The certificate will show whether a person has been vaccinated, has had a recent negative test or has recovered from COVID-19.
The idea has been welcomed by the Irish travel industry, but not everyone is happy with it.
The Irish Council for Civil Liberties is calling on the government to consider people's rights, including freedom of movement and privacy, before supporting the plan.
