Iconic American brand Krispy Kreme Doughnuts opened its first Irish store in Blanchardstown last week to a huge reception.

Queues of people formed at the 24-hour drive through, leading to complaints from local residents as impatient customers beeped their car horns repeatedly.

As a result, just a week after opening, Krispy Kreme has announced the drive through will now close at 11.30pm.
