Cristiano Ronaldo has denied allegations that he raped an American woman in Las Vegas in 2009.
According to German publication Der Spiegel, the football star paid the woman off to remain silent, but she has now broken a non-disclosure agreement to go public with her story.
The woman says she reported the attack to police the following day, but that she did not mention Ronaldo's name for fear of a backlash by his fans.
Christoph Winterbach, Sports Editor at Der Spiegel, spoke to us about the story and how they gathered sufficient evidence to be able to publish it.
