This week it was revealed that Claire Foy, aka Queen Elizabeth in The Crown, was paid less than her co-star Matt Smith, who played Prince Philip.

The reason given for Smith's higher pay was that he had previously starred in Doctor Who, but Netflix have stated that the pay gap won't continue, with Olivia Colman set to take over the main role for the next series.
