If you're looking for some advice on your home, Room to Improve star Dermot Bannon has the perfect way to do so while at the same time helping those affected by homelessness.
The Simon Open Door initiative is a partnership between the Simon Community and the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI).
The initiative is now in its fourteenth year and has to date raised almost €600,000 for the Simon Community. This is Dermot's tenth year as ambassador.
By signing up online, you can receive an hour-long consultation with an architect in return for a €90 donation to the Simon Community. During the consultation, you can get advice on a range of issues relating to your home.
Dermot stopped by to tell us more about it. He also discussed the upcoming series of Room to Improve and how he balances his various architectural projects.
Simon Open Door takes place from 14 - 20 May.
