The government has announced plans to end direct provision.

Under the new policy, asylum seekers will get the keys to their own accommodation after four months and will be able to work after six months.

The changes were announced in a White Paper to End Direct Provision published by Children's Minister Roderic O'Gorman, who joined us to discuss it in more detail.
