Donald Trump has defended the use of tear gas on a crowd of migrants trying to cross the US-Mexico border.
Children were among those affected by the incident, which occurred in Tijuana on Sunday, and which has been heavily condemned by activists and politicians.
But Trump said border agents had no choice but to use tear gas, as they had been "rushed by some very tough people", and claimed that the gas was "very safe".
He also alleged that some of the people at the border were not actually the children's parents, but "grabbers" aiming to improve their chances of asylum by having children with them.
Cal Thomas and Marion McKeone discussed this story and more in our US slot, including Trump's remarks that his achievements in office make him better than Ronald Reagan.
