As Phase 3 of reopening the country gets underway, pubs that serve food can open their doors from today.

However, in a letter to the Irish Times on Friday, several public health experts urged the incoming government to reverse the decision.

One of those was Professor Ruairi Brugha from the Department of Public Health and Epidemiology at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.

He joined us on The Last Word to explain why he believes it's too early to reopen pubs.
