Barbara Windsor has passed away at the age of 83.

The actress was best known for playing iconic Queen Vic landlady Peggy Mitchell in EastEnders, and for her role in the Carry On films.

She had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in 2014 and moved into a care home earlier this year.
