Ireland's Got Talent starts on TV3 this Saturday night. The show will be hosted by Lucy Kennedy and features a judging panel that includes Louis Walsh, Jason Byrne, Denise van Outen and Michelle Visage.
Michelle Visage will be best known to viewers as a judge on the US reality show RuPaul's Drag Race. She spoke to Matt about her new TV judging role here, and the talent she feels Ireland has.
"Ireland has so much talent it's unbelievable, and not just predictable talent - there's lots of fun stuff."
Michelle is clear about what kind of things impress her: "I look for something that makes me feel, whether it's happiness, sadness, anger or joy. If you make me feel an emotion then you're doing something right."
She knew all about who Louis Walsh was before agreeing to do the show, and says the fact that's she's on the judging panel is all down to him. She also gets on "very well" with all of her fellow judges, and says that Jason Byrne is the funniest person she's ever met.
Michelle also spoke about RuPaul's Drag Race, for listeners who may be unfamiliar with it, and outlined what it takes to be a successful drag artist.
"Most importantly you have to be fearless, because there's so much rejection involved in drag. It takes a long time to perfect your art. The way you get better is by getting out there and performing."
Ireland's Got Talent starts on Saturday from 7.30pm.
