Gardaí have launched an investigation into alleged breaches of COVID-19 restrictions at this week's Oireachtas Golf Society event in Galway.
Minister for Agriculture Dara Calleary and Senator Jerry Buttimer were among 80 attendees at the event, which took place at a hotel in Clifden. They have both resigned.
According to current public health guidance, indoor events should be attended by no more than 50 people.
