How much does your car know about you?
More than you might think, according to Sean McElligot, partner and head of the Technology Group at Philip Lee Solicitors, who compares it to "a mobile phone on wheels."
If you connect your phone through Bluetooth, your car could be storing data such as where you work, where you live, where your kids go to school, your contacts and details of texts you send.
Sean says, "You could argue it knows more than your partner knows about you."
Our motoring expert Michael Sheridan adds that all new cars since the end of March this year have a data SIM in them.
