Ireland and Ulster rugby players Paddy Jackson and Stuart Olding were today found not guilty of raping a woman in 2016.

We were joined by a number of panelists to discuss the verdict and some of the issues raised during the course of the trial - Sinead O'Carroll, news editor with The Journal, Elaine Byrnes, Doctoral Researcher in Psychology at NUI Galway, Roe McDermott, Fulbright Scholar with an MA in Sexuality Studies from San Francisco State University, and Cliona Sadlier, Executive Director of the Rape Crisis Network Ireland.

They discussed the manner in which rape trials are conducted, what constitutes consent, and the way that women are often talked about.
