Hozier is known for making statements in his music videos, such as with 'Take Me to Church', which went viral when it was released back in 2013.

With the video for his latest single 'Nina Cried Power', taken from his new EP of the same name, he is continuing the trend by featuring a number of Irish social and political activists, including Colm O'Gorman, Grace Dyas, Christina Noble and Bernadette McAliskey.

The song itself also features Mavis Staples.

But Larissa Nolan is not a fan of Hozier's new material — she thinks the singer is coming across as boring and pious after the brilliance of his earlier work: "He comes back after four years and seems to think he's Gandhi."

Is she right?

Larissa and John Caddell discussed this and much more in our weekly music slot.
