A story on the front page of the Business Post said that Ireland is facing the possibility of electricity blackouts during the winter months.

Not only that, Irish consumers could see the costs of electricity and other fuels increase dramatically by the end of the year.

In Europe, a lot of our energy is reliant on natural gas. With the price of natural gas doubling in the last twelve months, that cost is likely to be passed on to the consumer.
