Simon Coveney spoke about the possibility of some Irish troops taking part in a new EU Rapid Reaction Force yesterday.

For Irish troops to take part in peacekeeping or humanitarian missions it needs approval from the Dáil, from Government and subject to a UN Security Council Ressolution.
