The conflict in Syria has reached a turning point in the last week, following Donald Trump's withdrawal of US troops.

The decision, taken after a phone call with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, opened the door for Turkey to launch an attack on Kurdish forces on the Syrian border.
