Leo Varadkar has said that Ireland should consider following Australia's lead in forcing social media companies to share advertising revenue with local media.
Speaking at a briefing today, the Taoiseach said that while the likes of Facebook, Google and Twitter create employment, they are "sort of free riders on costs incurred by other people."
