Matt Cooper has revealed he has contracted Covid 19, even though he is double vaccinated and careful about his movements.

Speaking on The Last Word, Matt said he was eager to get the vaccine as he has not one but two underlying conditions, he is asthmatic and also has Type 2 diabetes.

Broadcasting live from his home while self-isolating, Matt says contracting Covid has made him think hard about how we are going to behave over Christmas.

Matt has noticed that his energy levels have dropped, as has his weight and if he just walks around the room it can feels like he has just done a 100 meter sprint.

Matt was joined by Kingston Mills, professor of experimental immunology, TCD, to discuss the vaccine programme and what the future of antigen testing could look like.
