Ian Guider, markets editor of the Business Post, discussed this story and more in our daily business update, including:

  • Almost 5,000 new homes were built in the first quarter of the year
  • Banks are withdrawing mortgage offers to people whose incomes have been impacted by COVID-19
  • IAG'S Willie Walsh to stay on until September
  • Liberty's Virgin Media and Telefonica's O2 to merge in the UK in $39 billion deal
