Hospital visitor restrictions have been very difficult for many people during the pandemic, including expectant mothers.

Partners of pregnant women have found themselves excluded from scans and labour wards in some hospitals, and this looks likely to continue as plans due to be announced this week will aim to introduce nationwide guidelines.

Krysia Lynch, chair of the Association for Improvements in the Maternity Services Ireland, and Holly Cairns, Social Democrats TD for Cork South-West, joined us to discuss these issues.
