Representatives from the music and entertainment industry says they are disappointed they received no commitment from government as to when the sector can reopen.
The Music and Entertainment Association Ireland met with the Arts Minister Catherine Martin virtually to discuss whether a roadmap can be drawn up, to get performers back to work.
The MEAI says its members have been out of work for 524 days because of the public health restrictions, with many people now looking to leave the industry because of the uncertainty.
Matt McGranaghan, spokesman for the MEAI joins The Last Word to discuss how the meeting with Minister Martin went.
Also on the programme to discuss the situation with the live music industry is Mark Murphy from The Sugar Club and Edel Curtin, Music Promoter and Manager of Coughlan’s Bar in Cork.
