Paul McCartney had a surprise for fans last week with the announcement of a new album, to be released in December.
McCartney III was recorded during lockdown, with Paul producing and playing all the instruments himself in his home studio.
He took the same approach on his debut solo album, 1970's McCartney, and on 1980's McCartney II, which followed the break-up of Wings.
