Pope Francis has addressed the issue of clerical sexual abuse in an open letter, saying the Catholic Church "showed no care for the little ones."
His apology follows revelations of abuse in Pennsylvania, which took place over decades.
But are his words enough?
Maeve Lewis, executive director of One in Four, says she is "really disappointed and very frustrated" with the letter.
"I had really hoped that Pope Francis would give us a road map of exactly what he intends to do to bring an end to clerical sexual abuse."
Maeve is now calling on the Pope "to bring in mandatory reporting across the globe, and unless he does that and hands over these criminals to the civil authorities, then nothing is ever going to change."
She thinks actions will now speak louder than words.
"Survivors are absolutely sick of meaningless apologies, so we really need something to happen so these criminals will not be protected anymore."
