The COVID-19 vaccine rollout has to date focused on the most vulnerable members of our society, such as the elderly and frontline healthcare workers.

However, one expert believes that prioritising younger people could help slow the spread of the virus.

Liam Fanning, Professor in Immunovirology at University College Cork, has suggested that those under the age of 35 should be moved up the vaccine priority list as most infections are currently in this age group.

To discuss this, he was joined on The Last Word by psychotherapist Stella O'Malley.
