Millennials are often referred to as the 'snowflake generation' and are caricatured as people who have it easy.
But Charlie Weston, personal finance editor with the Irish Independent, thinks they are actually the generation who have it toughest.
Many millennials are not getting pensionable, permanent jobs, are on on lower wages and paying higher rent, and can't afford to save for a deposit on a house.
In Britain, independent think tank the Resolution Foundation has suggested that there should be a citizen's dividend for millennials, whereby they would be given £10,000 when they reach the age of 25.
Is it a good idea, and would it work here in Ireland?
