The Sunday Business post has published a major investigation into the use of painkillers and tranquillisers in Ireland.
It found a "staggering rise in the use of sleeping tablets, painkillers, opiates and anti-depressants" in the last decade, according to health editor Susan Mitchell.
Susan was joined by Colin O'Gara, Consultant Psychiatrist and Head of Action Services at St. John of God Hospital, to discuss the worrying increase in painkiller addiction in Ireland.
