Are you going to Electric Picnic? If so, make sure you're well prepared with some survival gadgets.

Andy O'Donoghue recommends the best festival tech to get you through the weekend, from phone chargers to personal safety wearables and everything in between.

Charging

Invest in a USB battery charger or battery case for your phone:

Juice Pack Air for iPhone 7 & 8 - €99

Mophie for Samsung S7/8/9 - €99

Mophie 'Powerstation' range - €79, €99 and €109 Charge Force Powerstation - available with wireless charging if you have a compatible iPhone.

Zendure – about €90 from electronic retailers, with 4 USB plugs for charging everything at once.

Kit Protection

Wireless security tags – €24 at PC World, you'll get a text or alert if someone moves your belongings. Ideal for finding keys, wallets and purses.

Waterproof Pouch

Amphibia pouches - €15 from Great Outdoors, designed to protect keys and phones from water damage.

SheWee & PeeBo

Beat the queue for the toilet - holds up to one litre of liquid per bag. Non-spill, odour free and discreet.

WiFi

Bring a mobile broadband dongle for faster internet:

Vodafone - 7 day credit gets you 2GB of data, €3 for an extra day top-up gets you 500MB.

Carphone Warehouse – Eir – Huawei mobile dongle - 30-day pass 15GB (4.3GB roaming data) for €19.99, 30-day pass 50GB (8.2GB roaming data) for €29.99.

Food

No campfires are allowed at Electric Picnic, so invest in a hi-tech food heater bag for about €2 - available from Amazon and sports shops.

Safety

RunAngel – personal safety wearable for emergencies, €90
