A new documentary, aired as part of TG4's Tabú series, has looked at the increase in online shaming and what happens when somebody becomes the target of such behaviour.

We spoke to two people on The Last Word who have had direct experience of online shaming.

Jackie Fox's daughter Nicole died earlier this year as a result of relentless online bullying.

Since then, Jackie has been campaigning to raise awareness of the issue and have effective legislation implemented. She told us Nicole's heartbreaking story.

We also heard from dairy farmer Peter Hynes, who was targeted by animal rights activists after winning Farmer of the Year in 2017.
