Donald Trump has reacted to the latest evidence of criminality among two of his former advisors - and he has been supportive rather than critical.
Trump's attorney Michael Cohen has pleaded guilty to campaign finance charges, including paying off Stormy Daniels, while his former campaign manager Paul Manafort has been convicted of financial crimes including tax fraud.
In a series of tweets, Trump defended Manafort and claimed that the case was a "witch hunt."
I feel very badly for Paul Manafort and his wonderful family. “Justice” took a 12 year old tax case, among other things, applied tremendous pressure on him and, unlike Michael Cohen, he refused to “break” - make up stories in order to get a “deal.” Such respect for a brave man!

A large number of counts, ten, could not even be decided in the Paul Manafort case. Witch Hunt!
