The European Commission is proposing an end to clocks changing twice a year.
The recommendation applies to all EU member states, and if it happens, summer time will remain in place all year round.
The idea behind daylight saving is to increase productivity and save energy, but there are those who argue that the time change has a negative impact on people's health.
