Gardaí have issued a statement asking people to refrain from sharing pictures and video of yesterday afternoon's fatal M50 accident on social media.

A woman in her thirties died and a man was injured.

Since then, graphic pictures and videos of the accident have been circulating, taken by people on their phones.

Does people's willingness to record and share such sensitive material on social media indicate a serious problem?
