The Metropolitan Police in London is continuing to question a serving officer on suspicion of the murder of Sarah Everard, who went missing on 3 March while walking home from a friend's house.

Human remains were discovered yesterday by detectives investigating the 33-year-old's disappearance.

The case has resonated with many Irish women who have been sharing their experiences online and in the media of being fearful while walking alone, especially at night.
