Eilish O'Carroll of Mrs. Brown's Boys can currently be seen on RTE's Dancing With the Stars. She joined Matt in studio to talk about the experience so far.
Eilish says she is "enjoying every minute" of the competition, but it has also proven to be exhausting, as she trains for an average of 4-5 hours a day.
She thinks she has an advantage over some of the younger contestants in that she has a good insight into the story the dance is telling, and being an actor/performer helps.
Although she would like to win the competition, she feels she is "a winner already by just being in it." But she adds: "The glitter ball would look lovely on my sideboard."
Eilish also says she has a competitive streak: "You can't come from a family of ten and not be competitive."
She and her brother Brendan owe a lot of their qualities to their mother, who in 1954 was the first female Labour TD to be elected. "She was a formidable lady who was totally against injustice of any kind. She did it all against all odds. She's an amazing inspiration to me."
Balancing the demands of the competition with her other commitments will be a challenge for Eilish. In March, she will start touring the UK in Mrs. Brown's Boys D'Musical.
She thinks the show's popularity in Britain has a lot to do with the time it arrived on screens, during the recession.
"It's old-fashioned humour. When people are going through a recession, nostalgia and comedy are big. It gave people laughs at a time in their lives when they had little to laugh about."
