It may only be November, but the Christmas TV adverts have started already. However, Iceland's Christmas ad won't be screened, as it has been banned for being too political.

The supermarket teamed up with Greenpeace to create an animated short film featuring an orangutan, focusing on the destruction of natural habitats due to palm oil production.

See the full ad below:

It's an issue Iceland wanted to draw attention to, having pledged to remove palm oil from its food products earlier this year.

But the advertising clearance company Clearcast has deemed the ad to be in breach of rules banning political advertising, meaning it cannot go to air.
