The chaos of a global pandemic means it hasn't been a normal year for the TV industry, and this is reflected in the Golden Globe nominations.

Paul Mescal has missed out on a nomination, despite being in the running for an Emmy for Normal People last year.

There is also confusion about why critically acclaimed series I May Destroy You has not been nominated in any category, while the poorly-received Emily in Paris is up for best comedy and best actress for Lily Collins.
