Labour Party Senator Rebecca Moynihan has proposed a Bill to provide free period products in educational settings and public buildings.

The Period Products (Free Provisions) Bill, which is modelled on the groundbreaking legislation introduced by the Scottish Labour Party last year, provides for period products to be freely available in schools, colleges and public service buildings.

A public survey into the causes of period poverty has also been launched.
