There isn't a village in Ireland that doesn't have some kind of urban myth or ancient legend belonging to the area.
Irish history is steeped in these fables making us a nation of renowned story-tellers.
Speaking of story-telling, Kerry man Matt Sullivan has always had an interest in our folklore and in the past few months he has started to research and create a documentary series called What The Folk?
The series focuses on old stories passed on from generation to generation which are community led.
Matt has heard everything from the mysterious Sheen Valley Rolls of Butter to monsters in lakes and headless priests. And that's only the start of it.
He's just after finishing off the second episode and is looking for more material for the rest of the series. Maybe you have one? You might even get the chance to appear in a re-enactment.
Check out his Facebook page to watch the first episode and track his journey.
Dermot and Dave gave Matt a call this morning to find out all about it.
