It's hard to believe it's been 2 years since Joel and co. kept us entertained during their stint in the jungle.

The 32-year-old stand-up came runner-up in the 2016 edition of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! and although he didn't lift the crown, it sure did boost his profile.

Can we just take a second to appreciate the shape he's in? 

Dermot and Dave were delighted to welcome the funnyman into studio this morning, where he told us what it's like actually being there, "you don't understand how much of an impact that show has made on you". 

Joel was in primarily to chat about his upcoming gigs during the Galway Vodafone Comedy Carnival, where he'll be on stage (along with lots more acts) from Wednesday October 24th-Friday October 26th, which you can check out here.

We couldn't let him go without bringing up one of his finest moments in life - the time he was 'catfished' during a fake Skype call and ended up being recorded during a sex act.

A lesser human would be mortified by the scam, but not Joey. He's taken it all in his stride and even made a comedy show about it.

You're going to love his marriage proposal too. He wrote a book for his fiancée (well the last page of a book) and not even a Jurassic Park mishap couldn't ruin the moment. 

Keep an eye out for him over the next while, he's got loads of stuff in the pipeline.
