With the 2018 GAA season looking busier than ever for the club and county players of Ireland, many of the teams have decided to avail of a mobile cryotherapy chamber service.

The players step in, then the units are filled with nitrogen vapour (-150C or so). During the process, the skin sends signals to the brain, which stimulates physical reactions and activates naturally occurring healing resources.

It all seems very advanced, but teams have been using ice baths for years, and cryo has been used in professional sports worldwide for a while now.

To find out more about what it's actually like to be in one, The Sunday Game commissioned a special episode of the show to chat to some of the high profile sportsmen across the country.

Des Cahill had some chilled out fun with Brian Cody, Davy Fitz, John Mullane, Marty Morrissey and a handful of RTÉ pundits.

There's also a hidden gem at the end.

You can listen to the fun in full by pressing play in the image above the headline.
