It's not long now until the Vodafone Comedy Carnival makes us chuckle and one of the many stars of the event is comedian and actor Terry Alderton.
If you're a soap fan, you'll recognise Terry from his role as Terry Spraggan, who made his first appearance in Eastenders back in November 2013, arriving with Bianca Butcher, who had returned from Manchester, and met Bianca's parents.
Dermot and Dave caught up with the performer who gave us a bit of insight into what it's like to be part of one of the world's most famous soaps - even though he had initially said "I'd rather poke my own eyes out with a spoon than do Eastenders".
He also chats about how the comedy scene is going really well for him with a promotion on BBC Radio 4 and the excitement awaiting at the Vodafone Comedy Festival.
Dermot tells Terry how he's a huge fan of his work, "you do weird and I love weird" and Terry tells us how a negative, and very personal, review back in 2004 spurred him on to be who he is today.
The Comedy Carnival takes place across various locations in Galway from October 23rd to 29th and you can check out Terry's gigs here.
