*waves hands furiously in the air

I think that quote sums up what a lot of us so called 'adults' feel on a daily basis.

When you're a young'n, the thoughts of being your own boss one day is incredible. You're going to be able to go where you want, spend your money on as many sweets as you like, drive all over the place, ya know, all the fun, grown-up stuff, the perks.

What you forget to research is all the things you take for granted - like the cleaning, paying taxes, working and the whole 'being responsible' snag.

On the back of a recent survey, where the results show that 65% of adults would be utterly embarrassed if someone called to their house unexpectedly, Dermot and Dave wanted to find out the other struggles our listener's face when it comes to adulthood.

There was everything from having to book appointments, and being polite to people your own age, to parent/teacher meetings and dinner parties, "there's a reason people get smashed at dinner parties".

I'm off to build a camp with my pals. Can't hack this reality check.

Check out what all the reluctant adults had to say by pressing the play button in the image at the top of the page.
